The Joplin Business and Professional Women’s Club introduces to the public the extremely important information over the National Membership Awards, the Business and Professional Women's Club Emblem, and the Emblem Catalog. The exhibits help bring awareness, aids and supports the Business and Professional Women’s Club nationally, statewide, and locally.
1979-1980 National Membership Awards
The following are photos from the 1979-1980 National Membership Awards from the Joplin Business and Professional Women's Club. These awards are prestigious and are given to members who had dedicated their time and efforts to the Business and Professional Women’s Club locally, statewide, and nationally.
Derived from Greek Mythology meaning Power, and Victory, the Nike Statues that were awarded to the Joplin Business and Professional Women's Club stands as a symbol of strength, freedom, triumph, and progress.
National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club Award was presented to the Joplin Business and Professional Women's Club at the 1979-1980 Awards Banquet. It contains the Nike statue emblem, which stands as a symbol of strength, freedom, triumph, and progress.
The Imogene Hole that was awarded to the President of the Joplin Business and Professional Women’s Club in the 1974-1975 Award Banquet . This was extremely important as it helped establish excellence and dominance in the Joplin Business and Professional Women's Club. The Imogene Hole Plaque contains the Nike Statue as a symbol of strength, freedom, triumph, and progress. for Women to succeed in the workforce.

The Emblem of the National Business and Professional Women’s Club has many elements to it that helps establish the meaning of the Organization. The 5 elements are: The Torch, The Wand, The Ship of Commerce, the Scroll and Nike. All of these elements put together establish the organization that is dedicated to the growth of women in the workforce. |
