MSSU Archives & Special Collections Exhibits: - Fred G. Hughes Stadium

In 1975 Missouri Southern dedicated their football stadium in Fred Hughes name. The school honored Fred Hughes and his work he had done to create Missouri Southern State University when there was a need for a college in this area. Mr. Hughes was also a big supporter of sports at the college and gave constant donations for anything they needed funding for and he usually never missed a home game.

This is a sample for the Missouri Southern booster club of which Fred Hughes was a member of. It was most likely sent to the Board of Regents and Trustees for approval.
