St. Louis Safety Club
Betty Baron was an active member of her community working with a variety of clubs within the Missouri Federation of Women's Clubs (MFWC). This collection takes a trip through her scrapbooks looking at her time in the Saint Louis Safety Club. With the slogan "Safety, First, Last, Always" the Safety Club focused on providing lectures informing women in their community how to prevent danger on the road and in the home. They also held a number of events to raise funds and awareness for local non-profits and organizations focused on supporting community members in need.
The collection features general information about the Safety Club, articles for driving safety and accident prevention, the MFWC's work during WWII, and Betty's artwork, letters, and awards, along with photos of the club and their events.
Exhibit curated by Bailey Grant, with the assistance of Whitney Hamm, 2025-07.
