AVC (Audio Visual and Curriculum and Government Documents): The AVC desk is the only service desk on the 4th floor. This desk has two different departments housed together.
Audio Visual and Curriculum:
Government Documents:
This desk is located off the main staircase on the 4th floor.
If you cannot leave your desk due to staffing, then any patron needing help on the 4th floor may be referred here. This desk can also do laminations and has in-depth knowledge of Government documents and other 4th floor collections.
Technical Services: This department processes and maintains records for all materials in the library system, both physical and digital. They also repair and maintain our collection.
The Technical Services Librarian:
There is also a Cataloging Clerk who does:
Located on the 1st floor, behind the door to the right of the coffee shop.
Patrons do not interact with Technical services, but this is where we will send materials that are in need of mending and where new materials are processed. If a material status is "mending" it should be in Technical Services.
Marketing and Outreach: The public face of the library, the marketing and outreach department does many of the library displays and builds the relationship of the library with campus and community members.

The Marketing office is located to the left of the AVC desk on the 4th floor.
You will most likely never refer someone to this department but if a patron has a question regarding Literary Lions (the library book club) or wishes to propose the library have an event of some kind you may refer them to this department.
