Library Orientation: Getting to Know George A. Spiva Library

Your library account can be accessed through the library hompepage https://www.mssu.edu/academics/library/

under Your Library Account.

To login for the first time type your First and Last Name, then your S# in this format: S12345678MSSU

You MUST include the S at the beginning and MSSU at the end, caps don't matter.

Step 1: Access your library account

In order to renew books online, you must access your library account. Or from any library webpage, click on the 'Your Library Account' link under the Library Services section on the left hand side of the page.

Step 2: Log into your library account

 Your login information consist of your name, institution code (S# followed immediately by MSSU with no dashes or spaces), and a PIN (at least 6 characters in length) of your choosing.  We suggest you use your Missouri Southern PIN.

Step 3: Select books for renewal and confirm 

Below you will see a list of books you have checked out (if any) with barcodes, due dates and call numbers:

 It is here that you will also find a column that will allow you to renew any items you have checked out.  You may renew items 2 times unless someone else has requested the item.

Always check the due date after you've renewed your items. New due dates will appear if your renewal is successful.

2. To see the due dates of checked out items.
3. To renew items that will be due soon.
4. To view the status of MOBIUS requests.
5. To cancel unwanted MOBIUS books.
6. To view library fines.
7. To see saved catalog searches.
8. To set an RSS feed of a catalog search.
9. To change the email address to which library notifications are sent.
10. To modify your library account PIN.
