HIST 365: Colonial North America

Discovery, conquest, and development from 1492-1781. The imperial struggles between Spain, France, England, and various Native Americans will be emphasized, along with the social, cultural, and economic growth of the European colonies.

Colonial North America Course Description

This course will examine the European colonization of North America. The primary goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the motivations for colonization and the methods and consequences of colonization for Europeans, Native Americans, and Africans.
