Your Lion Card (student ID) is your library card

Your Lion Card IS your Library Card!   Don’t leave home without it!

To check out library materials, present your MSSU Lion Card at either the Main Circulation Desk on the 3rd (MAIN) floor of the library or Circulation Desk #2 (across from University Java) on the 1st floor .  The person checking out the book must be the person pictured on the ID.

The loan period for books is four  weeks.  Journals, EXCEPT for the most current issue,  DVDs, and curriculum kits check out for 1 week.  Reference materials, and Archive collections can only be used inside the library.  Loan periods for Reserve materials vary and are set by faculty.

Why would I want to access my library account?

  1. To see what items you have checked out.
  2. To see the due dates of checked out items.
  3. To renew items that will be due soon.
  4. To view the status of MOBIUS requests.
  5. To cancel unwanted MOBIUS books.
  6. To view library fines.
  7. To see saved catalog searches.
  8. To set an RSS feed of a catalog search.
  9. To change the email address to which library notifications are sent.
  10. To modify your library account PIN.

How to Access Your Library Account - Quick View

1.  On the left hand side of the library homepage (www.mssu.edu/library) click on the 'Your Library Account' link under the Library Services tab.

2. Enter the information asked for on the resulting page as seen below.

3. Click the Submit button.
