MSSU Resources

MSSU has a Diversity and Inclusion Committee,

Missouri Southern prides itself on its diverse and inclusive environment. To that end we are constantly evaluating and encouraging participation in initiatives to promote a better community.

Safe Zone Committee

The Missouri Southern Safe Zone program was created to have a network of knowledgeable faculty, staff, and students in order to create safe and open environments for everyone. Safe Zone allies can be identified by the Safe Zone signs which hang from their office doors. These allies are dedicated to increasing their knowledge of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) issues and challenge homophobic and heterosexist comments or behaviors in an educational and informative manner. Safe Zone allies are able to provide assistance and can refer individuals to university counseling services.
