Why International & Political Affairs?

The IPA degree will allow you to put your knowledge to work outside of the classroom with a strong focus on experiential learning. Join our award-winning Mock Trial team to strengthen your legal advocacy skills and compete in national trial tournaments. Participate in the Model United Nations or Model European Union to try your hand at international diplomacy, and travel to national simulations. Join the College Democrats or Young Americans for Liberty to meet people with like political values and pursue civic enterprises. Take advantage of Missouri Southern’s international mission and study abroad with short-term and immersive, semester-long opportunities. Take what you learn on the road by combining a traditional course with a domestic capstone trip. Put your knowledge to use while developing practical workplace skills and gaining valuable experience with an internship. There are numerous opportunities for students to immerse themselves in each discipline while gaining relevant experience.
