EDU 630: Assessment of Student Learning: Week 1

This course is an overview of the current research, theory, and practice related to assessment and student learning.

Week 1 Overview

Welcome to the first week of classes for Assessment of Student Learning! This course is part of the Curriculum & Instruction and Administration graduate programs. From either of these programs, you may go on to become a principal, curriculum director, instructional specialist or coach, or a master teacher who will be a mentor and model for others. In any of these roles, you will be expected to understand assessment concepts, demonstrate them in practice, and coach others in their use. Throughout this course, we will work to build a solid assessment foundation to equip you for any future roles you may have. This week we will be addressing Assessment as part of Curriculum Design.
